Tom Perski is a nationally recognized leader in low-vision rehabilitation with over 40 years of experience. A pioneer in the field, he was instrumental in launching the first major low-vision conferences in the U.S. He served as senior vice president at The Chicago Lighthouse, leading a multidisciplinary team that helped thousands of people.
Diagnosed with Stargardt macular dystrophy in college, Tom transitioned from aspiring artist to advocate and clinician, completing graduate studies as a legally blind student. He is the founder and volunteer director of a low vision service in Prescott, Arizona, where he provides hands-on support to patients and families. Tom combines innovation, clinical leadership, and compassion to empower individuals with vision loss to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
